Salem Witch Trials. The Scottsboro Boys. The Triangle Shirt Fire. Scopes Monkey Trial. Chicago Seven. Charles Manson. And yes, even O J.
These are trials every lawyer knows. But have we ever really examined the evidence? Read the transcripts? Evaluated the closing arguments? You can now.
Famous Trials is a website which puts together every element of the most famous trials in history, including transcripts, evidence, photos, maps, news coverage and biographies of the leading figures.
The website is the work of Douglas Linder at the University of Missouri -- Kansas City Law School. Professor Linder, who has served as a visiting professor at I.U. Law School - Bloomington, has put together a truly remarkable site. If you have any interest in legal history, or are just curious, take a look!
Thanks for the fantastic link - I'm going to link to it from my site too.
