"Hoosier" fits me well. My family roots in Indiana extend back near the time of Indiana statehood. I was born, raised, and educated in Indiana (Muncie Central High School, Ball State University andlaw school at IU-Indianapolis). I have always lived in Indiana, and probably always will.
Professionally, I have practiced law for 27 years. After 25 years of practicing law with two downtown firms, I opened my own law office in Decatur Township in 2006, where I provide legal services to the southwest side of Indianapolis.
I am active with the Indiana State Bar Association, and in 2007 received the ISBA's General Practice Hall of Fame Award. I was co-founder of the Indiana Solo & Small Firm Conference, and chaired the Conference Planning Committee for eight years. In 2002, I received the ISBA's Presidential Citation for my work in creating the Conference
I am currently Chair of the Indiana State Bar Association's Technology Committee, and served as Chair of the State Bar Association's Association's La.w Practice Management Committee for two terms from 2006-2008.
I am a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars, and have written extensively in journals and other publications on a variety of legal and non-legal topics
I have lived in Decatur Township for nearly 20 years. My wife, Lisa, is a 1980 Decatur Central graduate. Our son Alex is 2007 graduate of Decatur Central and currently attends the Vincennes University Aviation School at Indianapolis International Airport. Our daughter Emily is a senior at Decatur Central active in band and winter percussion ensemble. My oldest daughter, April, is a graduate of Bryn Mawr University in Philadelphia, and recently received her Masters from the University of Maryland. She is married to Domenic Giandomenico and lives in Silver Spring, MD, just outside Washington, D.C..
